Customer-service oriented and knowledgeable Logistic Managers are required to support a well-established and busy operation in Tar Heel, North Carolina. Previous experience managing customer accounts, drivers, and office personnel is paramount while being resourceful and communicating effectively to provide superior customer service is necessary. The successful Account Manager will be held accountable by metrics dictated by customer contracts, safety, on-time deliveries, asset utilization and management, growth, and efficiency. Experience with P&L reporting and financial management is a must have. Experience with slip-seating, DOT regulations, leadership, driver management, customer service, and conflict resolution are all strong assets. Daily Duties Include: In-direct and Direct management of Drivers, Office Staff, and Customer Accounts. Managing driver's hours based on DOT regulations. Freight Management, safe and on-time deliveries Hire, train, and manage office staff and drivers. P&L reporting to divisional leadership. Management of company assets, including trucks and trailers. Communicate with customers in a professional manner. Ensure freight commitments are met and customer needs are addressed promptly. Providing accurate and up to date reports. Provide insight and recommendations when applicable.
