Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • High School diploma, vocational school diploma, or GED certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional experience in configuration management, with demonstrated expertise in:
  • Chairing a Configuration Control Board (CCB) or equivalent decision-making body.
  • Managing configurations for computer-based systems, network devices, software applications, security documentation, and system security patches.
  • Providing comprehensive change management and product configuration guidance in support of DoD or Navy programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) or similar governance bodies to review, approve, and document configuration changes.
  • Implement and enforce configuration management processes for computer-based systems, software, network devices, and documentation in compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of system configurations, including security baselines, software patching, and documentation control.
  • Support change management initiatives by ensuring all changes are properly evaluated, coordinated, and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper version control and traceability of changes to all configuration items (CIs).
  • Collaborate with system engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program managers to maintain accurate and updated system configurations throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Track configuration status and provide reports, audits, and updates as required for compliance and mission assurance.
