About The Position
Safely operate equipment to perform assigned tasks on the log yard, which may include unloading trucks. Have a working knowledge of all log yard equipment and work to be efficiently trained on all equipment including crane. Ensure proper care and cleanliness of equipment is maintained. Understand the functions and responsibilities of the log yard and log yard personnel.

- Must have operator's license
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements including online training and PPE use.
- Remove reject logs from sawmill and take to reject pile.
- Maintain and maintenance log yard sprinkler system.
- Clean bark from under logs, in coordination with other log yard personnel.
- Assist log yard lead with rolling out loads and quality inspections when needed.
- Operate any equipment as needed to stack and rotate wet yard logs.
- Ensure proper washing and maintenance of equipment is performed.
- Clean out Inbound and Outbound scales with scalers to ensure proper functioning.
- Report any log yard needs to the log yard lead.
- Safely perform other tasks as assigned by Operator 2, log yard lead, or Supervisor.
