About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking a Frontline Leader for our Badham export facility in Cottageville, South Carolina. As a Log Yard Supervisor, you will lead safety and environmental performance, oversee daily operations, and support a team of hourly operators. This salaried, exempt role reports to the Export Manager. Key Functions: Lead by example in safety, including accident prevention, near-miss reporting, safety meetings, audits, inspections, and participation in the Health & Safety Program. Supervise and support the team by resolving issues, fostering teamwork, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Ensure all site environmental program requirements are met. Develop team capabilities to achieve operational excellence in safety, reliability, cost, and quality while meeting customer expectations. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production and maintenance activities, including work with vendors and contractors. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management. Manage administrative responsibilities using systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Suite Programs (Word, Excel and etc), Payroll System, and other company specific computer programs and systems. Coordinate inbound log flow, yard processing, and outbound container shipping with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in forestry, Marketing, Business, Maintenance, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR 10+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of industrial safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple activities and priorities.
  • Knowledge of container shipping/exporting operations.
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving ability, and innovation mindset.
  • Exceptional communication skills - written, oral, and listening.
  • Excellent teamworking skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Experience managing a Log Yard.
  • Experience managing an hourly workforce.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with UKG.

Benefits

  • Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $82,533-$123,800 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7%25 of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

  • Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
