About The Position
Grade lumber using S.P.I.B. rules. The hourly rate of pay for his position is $30.71. Daily Job Duties: Manually flip boards to see both sides & visually inspect boards for defects. Keep lumber straight and moving down chains. Use crayon to mark grade on board Follow all applicable safety rules. Work regularly scheduled shifts. Work scheduled overtime – as required. Clean up during down time using air hose, rake, and shovel. Help train lower graded employee’s – as needed Must be able to pass eye exam with/without glasses/contacts – annually Must be able to maintain 80% pass rate for announced rules test – annually Will be evaluated quarterly with 95% or better rate & pay will be adjusted up or down depending on rate – quarterly Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
