About The Position

The mission of the Florida Department of Military Affairs is to provide management oversight of the Florida National Guard and provide units and personnel ready to support national security objectives; to protect the public safety of citizens and to contribute to the national, state and community programs that add value to the United States of America and to the State of Florida.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
One (1) year of full-time-equivalent experience in maintenance and repair of locks and door hardware or related work.
Knowledge of the procedures and methods for cutting keys
Knowledge of the procedures and methods of installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
Skills in installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
Skills in operating a key-cutting machine
Skills in using a lock pick to open locks
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to re-key existing locks

Responsibilities

Coordinates and participates in repairing locks using hand tools and other equipment.
Coordinates the ordering, purchasing and installation of locking mechanisms and door hardware.
Cuts duplicate keys and maintain a log of keys issued or returned.
