About The Position

The Lockbox Department is a division of Cash Management and acts as a private "branch office" for Corporate Customers. The Senior Lockbox Specialist accepts payments sent to a specific P O Box number, deposits funds to the specified Corporate Customers' accounts and provides reporting and documentation of the deposit. This position is 100% in person.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • An understanding of debits/credits is required with banking experience preferred.
  • Independent, self-starter with proven ability to work independently and as a team on multiple tasks with commitment and willingness to see issues through to resolution.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good math aptitude.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet productivity and exceed in quality.
  • Ability to use PC and learn new software and procedures quickly.
  • Must be very focused and detailed oriented.
  • Must be a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a 10 key is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all operational duties when required by volume.
  • Accelerates the receipt and processing of client remittance data, preparation and processing of checks for clearing in line with standard bank operating procedures, and prepares information for clients according to specified procedures and instructions.
  • Receives, sorts, prepares and processes remittances and invoice data. Opens mail and extracts paper invoices/payments; sorts and prepares batches for processing. Follows established corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Ensures, through quality control measures, that deposits are correct.
  • Scans envelope contents on OPEX scanner based on customer's specifications and screen prompts.
  • Performs data entry of deposit information using Deluxe Image RPS application.
  • Comprehends and translates verbal, written and on-line instructions into action.
  • Follows internal operational controls and bank standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures is a required component of all position descriptions.
