About The Position

The Loan Servicing Representative I performs a variety of loan servicing functions including clerical and administrative tasks for consumer and mortgage loans in conformance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year prior business-related experience with clerical and administrative responsibilities.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team; strong attention to detail; ability to process work accurately; and excellent organization skills.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to utilize various banking software and platforms.
  • Must have ability to utilize various types of office equipment, including PC.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains tickler system for escrow accounts pertaining to homeowners insurance and private mortgage insurance. Processes premium payments, updates accounts in the loan system, and maintains insurance coverage filing system.
  • Processes various transactions including mortgage and equity payoffs and charge offs.
  • Completes daily loan interface exceptions and reviews various reports for payment errors and correct payment posting errors.
  • Creates new loan report to verify all new direct and indirect consumer loans are in the quality control ques and verifies the accuracy of systems input for all loans.
  • Processes paid notes and discharges titles and mortgages on secured loans.
  • Responsible for processing all mail, answering telephones, responding to member inquiries, and other related clerical or administrative tasks as assigned. Follows up to resolve issues within scope of expertise.
  • Enters remaining fields on all new mortgages to the system and performing the advance. Performs quality control on the mortgage file. Performs follow up with attorneys for missing documentation.
  • Maintains online title tracking system and performs all necessary follow up to obtain missing certificates of title.
  • Performs quality control on loan folders including consumer loans, overdraft accounts, and home equity loans and lines. Performs follow-up for missing documentation.
  • Performs various tasks associated with preauthorized transfers internal and external on all loans.
  • Assists members with the processing of all necessary paperwork associated with disability, credit life and GAP insurance claims.
  • Balances monthly insurance premium report for consumer loans and reconciles general ledger account for credit life and disability. Balances and remits payment for monthly credit life and disability mortgage insurance premium.
  • Enters HELOCs, Fixed Equities and Manufactured Housing on to the core system and verifies information for accuracy.
  • Adheres to All One Credit Union policies and procedures. Responsible for compliance with the following regulations: BSA, OFAC, and other regulations as required.
  • Makes contact with members, or third parties, as necessary, to communicate or resolve issues.
  • Performs other clerical and loan servicing duties and functions including typing, photocopying, stuffing and sorting bills, filing, etc., as assigned or requested.
  • Keeps up to date on regulatory and industry related updates and changes as they relate to loan servicing.

  • This position is eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week after 3 months of hire in accordance with the Work From Home Policy.
  • The salary range for this role is between $19.46 - $29.20. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors as permitted by law.
