About The Position

As a Loan Processing Assistant you'll assist Loan Processors during the mortgage loan process. You'll assist the Loan Processor with obtaining 3rd party documentation for the loan file. You'll also review documents for accuracy and completeness. Order appraisal of the subject property, Tax Transcripts and Condo Documentation (when applicable). Order Verbal Verifications of Employment, Written Verifications of Employment, Updated Hazard and/or Flood Insurance policies. Following up regularly to make sure the documentation is received. Ensure proper verification of credit card charges for any 3rd party orders. Track payment details. Review and ensure all documentation required is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with AmeriHome policy and investor requirements. Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Entry level knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
  • Entry level knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate working knowledge of Encompass.
  • Entry level to intermediate experience with MS Office products.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
