About The Position

The Loan Origination Systems Support Analyst supports the daily administration, maintenance, and user support of the bank’s loan origination systems (LOS). This role ensures the smooth functioning of the LOS platform by assisting with system configuration, data validation, troubleshooting, and end-user training. The Loan Origination Systems Support Analyst collaborates with loan operations, IT, compliance, and vendor representatives to improve system performance, maintain data integrity, and ensure that the platform aligns with lending workflows and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in loan operations, lending systems, or banking technology support.
  • Expertise in various loan origination systems.
  • Strong understanding of consumer, commercial, and mortgage loan workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations (TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, TRID, etc.).
  • Ability to work additional or non-standard hours as needed to meet deadlines or respond to other situations requiring extended availability.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain system settings, user roles, access levels, and workflow rules within the LOS platform.
  • Support system upgrades, patch installations, and routine maintenance in coordination with the Loan Origination Systems Administrator and IT staff.
  • Ensure that loan products, rates, fees, and required fields are accurate and up to date in the system.
  • Provide frontline support to system users (loan officers, processors, underwriters, and closers) by troubleshooting basic technical issues and guiding them through system functions.
  • Onboard new users by helping with account setup, training sessions, and job aids.
  • Document and escalate complex issues to system administrators or vendors as needed.
  • Perform regular audits of data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Monitor for data entry errors, missing fields, or misconfigured workflows and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Run and distribute standard reports to support lending, compliance, and executive reporting functions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline lending workflows within the LOS and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of user manuals, process guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in testing and validation of new features, templates, or updates prior to system deployment.
  • Ensure the LOS supports compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, TRID).
  • Assist with system audits and data preparation for regulatory reporting or internal reviews.
  • Work closely with lending, compliance, IT, and vendor support teams to address system needs and coordinate project timelines.
  • Support change management initiatives by helping users adapt to system enhancements and changes in workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

  • Possess and maintain a current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage. Both are required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Possess and maintain adequate skills in computer operation, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs.
  • Possess and maintain adequate typing skills to meet the needs of the position.
  • Possess and maintain adequate math skills to meet the needs of the position. This may include the ability to count currency and coin, calculate interest, balance accounts, add, subtract, multiply, and locate routine mathematical errors.
  • Practice effective and efficient organizational and time management skills.
  • Be able to work with general supervision while performing duties.
  • Use effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This includes the ability to apply common sense when carrying out instructions, interpreting documents, understanding procedures, writing reports and correspondence, and speaking clearly to customers and employees.
