Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) - Irvine

Griffin FundingScottsdale, AZ
Onsite

About The Position

Griffin Funding is a full-service mortgage lender licensed across the U.S., committed to making homeownership more accessible. They are a VA Approved Lender and FHA Non-Supervised Lender with a reputation for speed, service, and doing right by their borrowers. The team takes their work seriously, supports each other, and believes that how you treat a borrower at every step of the process matters. This role is a hybrid LOA/LO support position, not purely administrative or a full originator role. The successful candidate will work directly alongside a high-producing Loan Officer, focusing on the front end of the business: bringing in new clients, managing early-stage relationships, and keeping the pipeline full and moving. Once a file goes into processing, it transitions to a Mortgage Loan Partner who owns that client relationship through close, allowing the LOA to concentrate on new business acquisition. This role is based in the Irvine office.

Requirements

  • 6–18 months of experience in mortgage (LOA, LO, or a combination).
  • Familiarity with lead intake, client pipeline management, and loan structuring.
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline tracking tools.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Based in Irvine (this is an in-office role).
  • Communicates clearly and proactively.
  • Detail-oriented without being slow.
  • Can hold the full picture (multiple files, multiple stages, multiple stakeholders).
  • Client-confident (comfortable on the phone with borrowers and realtors).
  • Takes ownership.
  • Works well within a team structure.
