About The Position

The position of Loan Coordinator is responsible for working in a small team environment to assist loan officers in the day to day preparation, execution, and follow-up of all aspects of loan documentation. The Loan Coordinator is also responsible to work within a larger team environment by helping the Bank Manager and other bank personnel in expanding customer relationships and exceeding customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree required; additional post-secondary education or training in courses related to the financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • One year banking experience required with loan experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize the work assignments according to importance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally in English (both written and oral) with customers and team members.
  • Ability to satisfactorily perform all duties and responsibilities listed above within a reasonable time frame.
  • Ability to project friendly, courteous, and professional image.
  • Effective listening skills
  • Sound reasoning and judgment skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to utilize all necessary software applications as well as Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate to all levels of the Bank staff
  • Able to sit or stand for an extended period of time
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Use of fine motor skills

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to provide the finest customer service at all times and in all forms of verbal and written communication
  • Greet customers and direct them to proper individuals
  • Answer phones in a timely manner
  • Assist Loan Officers in their daily work by: Assisting Customers in filling out loan or credit applications Accurately preparing/reviewing documentation needed for loan closings Obtaining required third-party documents Coordinating loan closings Working technical exceptions Preparing and scheduling loan extensions Assisting customers with loan maintenance
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Banks deposit products
  • Open new accounts and handle maintenance on existing relationships
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities outside of own product specialty and refer to correct Bankers to fulfill all of customers banking needs
  • Provide notary service
  • Perform all other tasks requested as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
