Wash associated tanks and lines. Receive and replenish cleaning chemicals (bulk/totes/barrels). Ensure work area is kept in a clean and sanitary condition and responsible for performing regular sanitation within the Raw milk receiving building.

Requirements

  • Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.
  • Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
  • High School level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computational skills required. Simple math reasoning required.
  • Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure milk products are received within specifications and meets all food safety and quality requirements.
  • Ensure lactose and cream loadouts are within specification and meet all food safety and quality requirements
  • Take proper samples of products being received or loaded out for QA testing.
  • Take proper samples to monitor CIP system for chemical strengths.
  • Complete all documentation for incoming and outgoing milk products this includes but not limited to all checklist and BOL creation in DSI
  • Receive cleaning chemicals from box truck using walk behind pallet jack to move totes/barrels
  • Assist with bulk chemical deliveries
  • CIP of tankers, silos and line circuits
  • Wears proper PPE at all times when handling chemicals and working in CIP room
  • Operate CIP equipment in a safe and sanitary manner following all GMP’s. Cleaning the processing equipment which includes hand cleaning parts, clean-in-place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) operations on a daily basis
  • Service pumps, valves and heat exchangers as needed and/or per preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Aid in the training of new personnel.
  • Report immediately to the coordinator or supervisor regarding any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions concerning the equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Facility must remain audit ready at all times.
  • Follow all company safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
