Position Summary Coordinates outbound shipments to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient loading of goods in a third-party logistics environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of warehouse or logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems, transportation, loading, and shipping procedures.
- Forklift certification (if applicable).
Responsibilities
- Schedules and coordinates outbound loads based on shipping schedules and customer requests.
- Communicates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely dispatch of shipments.
- Prepares and reviews loading documents, including Bill of Lading (BOL), load sheets, and shipping labels.
- Configures load to maximize trailer space and ensure secure transportation of goods.
- Monitors and tracks load progress and resolves discrepancies in real time.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability and minimize cross-dock times.
- Maintains accurate shipping records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Audits loads to make sure they meet Department of Transportation (DOT) and organizational safety standards.
