About The Position

The LMS Administrator & Instructional Design Lead is a learning leader responsible for the overall learning experience, instructional design strategy, and management of the organization’s learning ecosystem. The LMS Administrator & Instructional Design Lead also serves as the organizational lead for AI-enabled learning technologies, ensuring the strategic and responsible use of AI to accelerate content development, personalize learning pathways, and strengthen data-driven decision making. This role leads a team of Instructional Designers and learning support roles to build scalable, modern, and effective training solutions for both customer-facing and internal audiences. This leader owns the learning architecture, oversees the design and development processes, manages the Learning Management System (LMS), and establishes design and quality standards for all content created across the Learning & Development function. LMS Administrator & Instructional Design Lead partners closely with the Transformation L&D team, Organic Growth L&D team, and Product Enablement to ensure learning solutions stay aligned with product roadmap changes, business priorities, and the evolving needs of learners.  This role is required onsite 5 days a week in our Richardson, TX office location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required — Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning Architecture, Learning Experience Design, or Learning Technology roles.
  • 2–4+ years of experience leading or managing an instructional design or learning technology team.
  • Strong background in learning science, modern instructional methodologies, and end-to-end design of blended learning programs.
  • Hands-on experience managing or administering an LMS and using learning analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and influence cross-functional partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or Learning Technologies.
  • Professional certifications (preferred): ATD CPTD or APTD, Certified Scrum Master or comparable product/tech enablement credential; Learning technology certifications (LMS admin, eLearning tools, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success designing scalable training programs in a SaaS or tech-driven environment (strongly preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams or working in product-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Instructional Designers and related learning roles (e.g., training coordinator, learning technologist), providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
  • Establish clear expectations for design quality, timelines, and collaboration with L&D Specialists and facilitators.
  • Create a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the design team.
  • Manage team workload, project prioritization, and capacity planning across multiple business units (Transformation + Organic Growth).
  • Mentor team members in learning science, visual design, instructional methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Define the enterprise-wide learning architecture, including frameworks for learning pathways, certification programs, role-based tracks, and blended learning experiences.
  • Establish standards and methodologies for curriculum design, instructional design processes, and content lifecycle management
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging AI tools that support content modularization, microlearning generation, learner feedback loops, and intelligent skill progression mapping.
  • Ensure learning experiences are optimized for different learner segments, including product end users, internal employees, and implementation teams.
  • Translate complex business needs and product requirements into structured, scalable learning experiences.
  • Oversee end-to-end LMS strategy, configuration, governance, integrations, and reporting.
  • Lead the roadmap for learning technology enhancements including authoring tools, analytics platforms, AI learning tools, and future system expansion.
  • Ensure the LMS supports intuitive learner journeys, seamless content delivery, and accurate reporting for both internal and client audiences.
  • Partner with IT, Product, and Data teams to manage system security, updates, and user provisioning workflows.
  • Develop and enforce content standards, templates, taxonomies, and versioning protocols for all L&D training materials.
  • Review and approve content created by Instructional Designers and collaborate with L&D Specialists to ensure delivery readiness.
  • Maintain content accuracy and relevance by establishing alignment with Product Enablement around product releases, enhancements, and roadmap shifts.
  • Lead periodic audits of the content library to ensure quality, currency, and consistency.
  • Lead the development and governance of the organization’s learning measurement framework using Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4.
  • Partner with L&D program leaders (Transformation Manager, L&D Lead, Product Learning & Enablement Manager) to design measurable learning outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Ensure instructional design processes embed appropriate measurement tools, including assessments, evaluations, and behavior change indicators.
  • Oversee the use of LMS data, surveys, analytics, and performance metrics to assess the impact of learning programs.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive continuous improvement of content, delivery methods, and learner experience.
  • Work closely with L&D program leaders (Transformation Manager, L&D Lead, Product Enablement Manager) to ensure content needs are anticipated and met.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, CX, Support, and Implementation teams to understand feature changes, workflow impacts, and user behaviors.
  • Participate in product demos and release planning to identify learning implications and proactively plan updates.
  • Serve as an advocate for learner needs and user experience in cross-functional discussions.
