Our team is built on strong relationships, problem-solving, and a commitment to doing right by our customers every day. We’re looking for a Livestock Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is key to creating a positive customer experience—helping producers place orders, solve problems, and keep their operations running smoothly. Because this position works closely with livestock and producer customers, prior experience in livestock, dairy, or agricultural operations is essential. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • Experience in livestock, poultry, or agricultural environments preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and internal systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and able to handle changing priorities with professionalism
  • Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs regularly
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday
  • Occasional travel may be required based on business needs
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for work-related travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in livestock, poultry, or agricultural environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with product questions, pricing, and order support
  • Accurately process orders via phone, email, and fax
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and communicate delivery timelines or delays
  • Collaborate with sales reps, warehouse teams, and drivers to resolve issues and track shipments
  • Maintain and update customer accounts, orders, and documentation
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns with a solutions-focused approach
  • Generate internal reports and support team projects as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Represent VSI professionally in all interactions
