About The Position

Prime Video's Live Infrastructure team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, hard-working and operationally focused Systems Admin Engineer to support the fast evolving and expanding video eco-system, especially for live events and 24/7 linear channels. You will have an enormous opportunity to work within multiple systems analyzing and identifying the common issues, and driving the teams towards resolution to have a positive impact on customer experience. This job requires you to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks. Requirements

• 4+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• 5+ years of Linux experience
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience
• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
• Experience working with Linux
• Experience in systems engineering
• Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS
• Experience designing and developing scripts to automate operational burdens and reviewing scripting changes to ensure they meet the standards for maintainability, scalability and security
• Experience working in 24/7 production environment
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services

Responsibilities

• As a Live Infra Systems Engineer you will build and scale our current infrastructure as well as designing and delivering new tools supporting our video business.
• You will also have responsibility of the day to day Engineering and Administration of large scale distributed systems.
• You will guide the organization and implement best practices to deliver on operational improvements as well as design and architect solutions that scale.
• Additionally, you will own a global hardware stack.

• Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
• The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic market.
• Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
