About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our Technical Engineering and Design Department in support of our United States Air Force customer. We have positions available in San Diego and Honolulu. Work directly with customers in a technical role in deployment and implementation planning with customers Highly skilled in Systems Engineer principles, fielded system lifecycles Lead the design and development of systems, create all engineering artifacts Implement and promote systems engineering principles to ensure program success Contribute technical content and tutorials to product documentation Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and share insights with stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in automated testing, distributed databases, software defined networking, container orchestration, and DevSecOps. Work with distributed systems like Hadoop, HBase/Accumulo, Spark and Kafka Utilize Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Powershell, and Python tools A strong understanding of security concepts, best practices and how to apply them, such as Secure Shell, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, and data encryption to include Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security policies/processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with implementation and understanding of Engineering principles in a professional environment
  • Experience with a variety of development tools to include: Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Powershell, Python
  • Experience with software code development to automate run-time environment tools
  • Experience maintaining, configuring, operating and troubleshooting complex electronic computer interface systems and network equipment
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance
