Little Sister Deli Cashier
About The Position
Little Sister Deli is looking for a friendly Deli Cashier to join our team at 7 Cedars Casino. This is a part-time evening shift and a tipped position, perfect for someone who enjoys customer service and a fast-paced environment. The Little Sister Deli Cashier employee provides friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests. Clean and set up food displays in the Deli as well as prepare coffee and other related products. Courteously answer telephones, take orders and assist guest with purchase decisions, collecting the proper method of payment and ensuring a branded behavior throughout every interaction. Stock and maintain food displays in neat or orderly fashion. Assist with bussing tables, making custom beverages and washing dishes if necessary. Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
- Six (6) months previous food serving and cashier experience preferred
- Ability to use Point of Sale system
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
- Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
Responsibilities
- Clean, set and re-stock food displays continuously, assuming responsibility for side duties.
- Stock and ensure cleanliness of the deli, customer areas and employee lounge
- Greet customers and employees in a polite and friendly manner
- Take food orders, bus tables, assist with washing dishes
- Process all cash and non-cash sales
- Prepare food, cook food to order, with knowledge of the equipment available and following proper food health department regulations
- Stock service area with drinks, food, ice, and condiments
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations
- Follow all general and department policies and procedures
