Performs litter collection and routine maintenance of roadways. Help maintain clean and safe public spaces by collecting and disposing of litter and debris. Assist with overgrown weed and grass removal from sidewalks and right-of-way. Collect and remove litter, debris, and refuse from streets, sidewalks, trails, parking lots and public grounds Operate basic tools or equipment such as litter grabbers, brooms, bags, carts, mowers, weed eaters, blowers Follow safety procedures when working near traffic or in public areas Work independently or as part of a cleanup crew Maintain proper disposal and bag count of litter Work with other divisions and departments as needed Cleans storm drains, ditches, and catch basins; collects litter, mows, trims, and landscapes work area using weed eater, blower, chain saw., etc. Performs other related duties as required and assigned PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Ability to sit, stand and transport self from site to site. Employee will work in seasonal temperatures bending, kneeling, twisting, and climbing to collect litter and clean up roadways. Ability to perform task involving heavy manual labor. Primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. Exposure to traffic, dust, odors, and potentially hazardous materials. REQUIRED CONTACTS: Ability to effectively communicate with employees in the work group. Will also work with equipment and vehicle operators to obtain information.
