Golden, Rothschild, Spagnola, Lundell, Boylan, Garubo & Bell, P.C. is a respected and established insurance defense firm handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York. We represent local, national, and international insurers and corporate clients and are known for our strategic advocacy, litigation excellence, and collaborative culture.
We are currently seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join the litigation department in our Bridgewater, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for hands-on litigation experience, meaningful courtroom exposure, and long-term professional growth within a supportive team environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience defending New Jersey litigation matters from inception through resolution. This role offers immediate responsibility and active participation in all phases of litigation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of insurance defense and/or litigation experience
• Admission to New Jersey State and Federal Courts required
• Working knowledge of New Jersey e-filing systems (New York e-filing a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) within a virtual work platform for file handling and case management
• Experience with legal billing and timekeeping systems, including accurate entry of billable time
• Strong scheduling and calendar management skills
• Ability to work independently with strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a digital environment
• Team-oriented with a flexible, solution-focused attitude

Nice To Haves

• Experience in premises liability, trucking/auto, construction (personal injury and defect), dram shop, and other personal injury/property damage matters preferred.
• Trial experience and ability to independently manage a caseload is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend court appearances and ADR proceedings
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial and appeals.
• Communicate directly with clients and insurance carrier clients
• Maintain accurate time entries and litigation management documentation
