Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join their expanding Los Angeles office. This role offers full remote or hybrid flexibility for candidates who are admitted and in good standing in California. You will handle a sophisticated docket of insurance defense matters on behalf of domestic and international carriers and their insureds.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
- Experience with case management, drafting pleadings, and handling motions and depositions
- Admitted and in good standing in California (additional jurisdictions a plus)
Nice To Haves
- Trial and/or arbitration experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution, including general liability, professional liability, and complex tort claims
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of precision and advocacy
- Take and defend depositions, including experts and key parties, and represent clients in hearings and motion practice in state and federal courts
- Provide trial support, including strategy development, witness preparation, and trial execution
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risk, and deliver practical legal solutions
- Communicate directly with carrier clients and insureds, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic guidance
- Stay current on developments in insurance defense litigation, incorporating industry trends into case strategy
Benefits
- Salary range: $175,000 – $220,000, depending on experience and practice group
