Qualifications: At least 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or defense litigation Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills Experience with case management, drafting pleadings, and handling motions and depositions Admitted and in good standing in California (additional jurisdictions a plus) Key Responsibilities: Manage insurance coverage and/or defense litigation matters, including bad faith claims, from inception through resolution Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of precision and advocacy Take and defend depositions, including experts and key parties, and represent clients in hearings and motion practice in state and federal courts Provide trial support, including strategy development, witness preparation, and trial execution Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risk, and deliver practical legal solutions Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic guidance while fostering strong relationships Stay current on developments in insurance coverage and defense litigation, incorporating industry trends into case strategy Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $125,000 – $220,000, depending on experience, practice group, and location Annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonus Comprehensive benefits package 1,920 billable hour requirement Hybrid work flexibility Strong mentorship program with partners and associates, plus business development training Equal Opportunity Statement: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
