Litigation Assistant - Personal Injury
About The Position
Johnson Law Group is a nationally recognized plaintiff’s law firm dedicated to providing exceptional representation to individuals who have been wrongfully injured. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant – Personal Injury to support attorneys and paralegals throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in personal injury litigation and is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment. This position works under the supervision of licensed attorneys.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation assistant or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems such as Filevine, Litify, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to client service.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management from filing through settlement or trial.
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, discovery requests and responses, pleadings, and motions for attorney review.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation-related events.
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and filing requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks including document scanning, data entry, and uploading documents into case management systems.
- Support litigation projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
