About The Position

Savantage Solutions is seeking a Linux IT System Administrator (SysAdmin) to support and maintain application environments for federal financial systems. This role is primarily focused on Linux system administration and application support, with Oracle database and web application experience as a strong plus. We are looking for a proactive, self-managing professional who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience administering Linux (RHEL) systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Database (19c preferred).
  • Experience supporting enterprise Oracle COTS systems (EBS, Database, OAS) and Tomcat.
  • Familiarity and comfort working in DevOps-style environments (automation, deployments, Continuous Integration(CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as a team.
  • Experience supporting federal systems.
  • Active Security+ or CISSP certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM)/Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
  • Experience with Oracle APEX application deployments.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic and Oracle HTTP Server administration.
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Data Pump, SQLLoader, RMAN, and backup/recovery practices.
  • Experience monitoring and tuning Oracle database performance.
  • Experience implementing or supporting systems in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Linux (RHEL) systems and application environments.
  • Administer and support enterprise web and application servers and RESTful web services (e.g., Tomcat).
  • Support Oracle-based commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) running on Oracle Databases.
  • Assist with application deployments, patching, and environment maintenance.
  • Participate in and support DevOps processes, including build, deployment, and release activities.
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and support production operations.
  • Collaborate with development, database, and security teams.
  • Create and maintain basic scripts and operational documentation.
