About The Position

As a Linux and Cloud Application Support Specialist for Space and Intelligence Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring virtual machines and applications run successfully within a Platform As A Service environment. The Linux and Cloud Application Support Specialist will be responsible for new installation and deployment of Platform As A Service systems, to include monthly systems updates and troubleshooting application or VM issues. This position is hybrid with scheduled on-site and in-office support. While on-site, you will be a part of the Schriever Space Force Base operations and support team. Must be able to obtain required CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of employment. GDMS will cover the cost of the training and exam.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain required CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of employment.
