About The Position

WindRiver is a luxury lakefront and golf community offering a vibrant lifestyle that encompasses world-class amenities, including a championship golf course, full-service marina, Lakeside Inn, resort-style pool, and much more. At the heart of our community is WindRiver Club, a private members-only club soon to feature Clubhouse Village — home to our restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, event spaces, and pro shop. We invite you to discover "Life As It Should Be". We are looking for a Line Cook to join our fast-growing team to provide high quality food and an unparalleled experience to our members and guests. This is a part-time position with a varying schedule of 4pm-10pm Thursday-Saturday.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of food service experience (required).
  • Serve Safe Certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment (required).
  • Must be 18 years or older (required).
  • Strong understanding of food prep, safety, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and health regulations.
  • Excellent communication; team-oriented and adaptable.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary certification (preferred).
  • High school diploma (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations
  • Set up, clean, and break down work areas promptly and in accordance with daily checklists.
  • Prepare and cook food according to WindRiver location guidelines, recipes, and food safety standards.
  • Ensure food is stored at appropriate temperatures and durations; monitor and record refrigerator/freezer temperatures daily.
  • Evaluate food quality and doneness through tasting; ensure proper portioning and consistency.
  • Cut, trim, bone, and carve meats and poultry as required for preparation.
  • Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary work areas, utensils, and equipment at all times.
  • Use and store cleaning chemicals according to MSDS regulations.
  • Receive, label, date, rotate, and properly store all deliveries and inventory items.
  • Count inventory regularly and communicate items that are low in stock.
  • Assist with menu planning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Follow all daily, weekly, and monthly routines to meet operational standards.
  • Ensure all utilities and equipment (TVs, fans, grills, etc.) are turned off at the end of the day.
  • Professionalism, Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain a professional appearance, hygiene, posture, and respectful behavior at all times.
  • Report all injuries and equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and safety sessions.
  • Assist with any other duties, as directed by supervisor, to maintain a quality experience for members.
