About The Position

Nights Support and promote a team atmosphere on the line. Is also responsible for monitoring product flow for maximum efficiency and for reporting any and all discrepancies to supervision. This person helps the supervisor in the overall operations of the line. This person will also help the supervisor with paperwork at the end of each shift. This person will help in the operations of all equipment necessary for proper product flow.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory capacity -- preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to produce a quality product at an efficient rate.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be willing and able to understand and follow directions.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 30 – 100 degrees.
  • Must be willing and able to promote a teamwork environment.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
  • Must be willing and able to walk/stand for up to 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and tear down all equipment required to run a given product.
  • Be responsible for maintaining proper operating speed to maximize product efficiency and to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Obtain daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
  • Understand and report on KPIs.
  • Work as a team with line coordinator to efficiently operate the line.
  • Must be willing and able to make the necessary machine adjustments or repairs to equipment to provide superior quality and appearance of the product.
  • Responsible for training other operators on equipment as needed.
  • Train and lead in all safety procedures that are job related.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure line is production ready.
  • Maintain clean work area and adhere to 6S standards on a regular basis.
