About The Position

This position is for a Line 2 Assistant Manager responsible for supporting business plan goals, ensuring efficient operations, and providing leadership within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The role involves managing manpower, budgeting, inventory accuracy, new model activities, and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for problem-solving, developing team members, monitoring safety, and ensuring consistent communication with customers and associates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a warehouse management environment or other management areas.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customers and associates.
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, Holidays, weekends or overtime as needed.
  • Computer skills.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Must follow the chain of progression to apply: Production Associate Section Lead / Trainer Supervisor Assistant Manager Manager.
  • Must be a full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period).
  • Must not have received any formal written occurrences other than attendance during the past 12 months.
  • Must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting and/or cannot reach 1.5 points while in the position.
  • Cannot have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-high school education (2- or 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Support business plan goals; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Ensure appropriate manpower planning and budgeting for efficient operations are in place and required resources are available to meet customer and corporate requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all members of the department.
  • Solve problems and resolve issues and concerns that impact operational performance (quality, safety, finance, associate relations).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage departmental new model activities.
  • Maintain all regulatory and compliance requirements of the department.
  • Ensure consistent and professional communication with our customer and associates at all times.
  • Manage projects and provide guidance when needed.
  • Develop Supervisors, section leaders and associates.
  • Monitor safety results and report as needed; assist in the development of safety-related countermeasures.
  • Anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures.
  • Act as a role model for all associates in all aspects of the job (safety, production, quality, attendance, housekeeping, etc.).
  • Achieve daily production targets.
  • Continuously improving overall department content and activities.
  • Ensure all daily and monthly reports are completed on time.
  • Communicate effectively to peers and Assistant Manager.
  • Be actively supportive of the Associate Training Program and NC Circle Program.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and enforce safety policies.
  • Participate in and administer disciplinary actions.
  • Interview candidates.
  • Support and direct daily company production and projects.
