About The Position

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Will check the production schedule for the product that is being run and prepare for operations. Will perform daily safety checks of the assigned forklift in accordance with company policy. Will check work orders for products to be run, obtain, scan, and transport various raw food supplies to kitchen line staging areas and IQF Room with a forklift. Will replenish kitchen lines with the appropriate materials as needed or requested throughout the shift. Will pick ingredients from the freezer, transfer to plastic pallets, and move to the IQF room and scan codes as required. Will open Gaylords, tape, spike the frozen ingredients on the spiking machine using the forklift. Will transport to the dumper, operate the dumper, unload Gaylords, and stack as required. Will fill totes and transport to the kettle dumper with a forklift. Will inspect and stack empty pallets, remove broken or damaged pallets as required. Will transport unused raw materials to warehouse/freezer staging areas at the end of the shift. Will charge forklift battery on lift as needed. Will comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as comply with all OSHA rules and regulations (THINK SAFETY FIRST). Will lead by example with coworkers. Will adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP), including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming & hygiene, etc. Will comply with 5S requirements. Will comply with the plant Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) policy and implement the correct procedure for the LOTO of machines operated. At the end of the shift, clean and secure all equipment. Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform their essential duties. Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Must have effective organization and communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete the necessary paperwork and turn it in.
  • Must be able to take active ownership of their own safety to prevent workplace injuries and support the safety and well-being of team members.
  • Must be a motivated team player.
