About The Position

We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide guests with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates guests for life. This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and mechanical work done on chair lifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
• High School graduation or equivalent preferred
• Able to work outside for extended periods in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work at heights in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of ski area and lift operations, ski lift terminology preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine maintenance procedures under the guidance of the lift maintenance manager and senior mechanics.
• Inspect drive machinery and ensure that all lifts are safe for the public.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair assigned lifts.
• Interact professionally with lift operations staff and assist with lift operations training.
• Follow all safety and risk management policies and procedures including proper use of PPE, Hazard Communication, fall protection, lockout/tag-out procedures, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform basic work functions at heights on tower equipment such as routine rope alignment, sheave change out, evener replacement, brittle bar replacement, and monthly and annual inspections.
• Ensure that the work area is free from clutter and that all materials and tools are properly cleaned and stored.
