About The Position

Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is “Moving Forward” as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance Team as an Lift Truck Mechanic. The Fork Lift Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material-handling equipment. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of company equipment. Preferred experience with Mitsubishi, Clark, and Bobcat forklift models.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience as a lift truck mechanic or technician
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in varying climate conditions.
Communicate with team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, twist, and reach while handling tools, equipment and parts.
The ability to work in a non-climate control facility based on weather conditions including hot and wintry weather.
Be able to work around the normal process of rubber smell, vapor, fumes given off by machinery, and a small amount of smoke.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mitsubishi, Clark and/or Bobcat strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair and maintain lift trucks, including gas, diesel and electric units.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and PM services.
Identify and communicate parts, supplies and equipment needed
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized maintenance area.
Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and lifting devices safely
