Job Summary: The Tram assistant manager assumes all duties and responsibilities of the Tram Manager. They will ensure the safe, efficient operation of the Tram and will be responsible for all personnel in the operations and maintenance of the Tram. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Requirements
- Must have excellent safety awareness.
- Must have good customer service skills, speaking and listening.
- Must be able to positively, as well as professionally engage and interact with customers.
- Ability to present information to groups.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with passengers.
- Ability to remain patient, calm and composed in all situations.
- Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 10-hour work shift.
- Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 35lbs.
- Must be capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Supervises staff and manages the department when Manager is absent.
- Completes weekly inspections and reports of buildings, machines, towers, ropes, cabins, safety and signaling equipment.
- Completes a main inspection twice a year.
- Responsible for the Tram operating journal, which contains reports of any special events or irregularities during operation, corrective measures taken, and results of inspections.
- Oversees the rope journal and lubrication and checking of ropes.
- Supervises operational and maintenance personnel.
- Takes emergency action when necessary.
- Responsible for the proper maintenance and inspections as established by the manufacturer’s operations instructions manual.
- Performs duties of as needed.
