Lifestyle Health APP (NP/PA)
About The Position
Join our Lifestyle Health: Weight Loss and Wellness team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center! We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to be part of our collaborative, interdisciplinary group. You will work with a team (physicians, APPs, behavioral health, and registered dietitians) to develop comprehensive health and wellness plans for adult patients. Our approach includes: Medical evaluation Nutritional counseling Behavioral consults The Lifestyle Health Membership provides patients with access to educational programs, cooking demos, recipes, and more!
Requirements
- Commitment to managing the physical, emotional, and social impact of patient weight loss interventions
- Active or eligible APP license in the State of Massachusetts
- DEA license & MCSR
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Nutrition, Obesity Medicine, or Family Medicine is a plus
- EPIC (Electronic Health Record) experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Prescribe and manage weight loss medications (within scope of practice)
- Provide education and counseling on healthy lifestyle and behavior change (healthy eating, exercise)
- Document relevant data promptly in the electronic medical record
- Consult with collaborating physicians as needed
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Engage in ongoing professional development and education
- Maintain professional interactions with all staff and patients
