About The Position

The Waterpark Lead Lifeguard position at OKANA Resort and Indoor WaterPark, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, involves supervising the lifeguard team to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests at the aquatic facility. This role includes coordinating lifeguard rotations, conducting safety drills, and providing guidance to team members. The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety protocols, and responding to emergencies promptly. They also oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and ensure all lifeguards maintain current certifications. This position serves as a key point of contact for both staff and guests, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth operations to maintain a safe, efficient, and enjoyable environment. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in High School or High School Graduate
  • Lifeguard Instructor (Must be obtained within 30 days of hire date)
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a large group of team members to provide exceptional customer service in a safe atmosphere.
  • Customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of lifeguarding experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Daily pre-opening walk-thru of the waterpark to ensure that all equipment is in working condition and the park is clean according to resort standards.
  • Maintain documentation of the inspections highlighting potential safety concerns.
  • Work closely with Engineering & Park Service team to stay on top of maintenance and cleaning needs.
  • Training & scheduling of lifeguards and other service personnel to meet the daily demands of guest volume.
  • Communicate with Human Resources on staffing needs.
  • Leading the team to provide exceptional customer service and a safe environment for the enjoyment of water park guests.
  • Utilize radios to communicate important information on waterpark operation and Emergencies.
