Tacoma Country & Golf Club is as proud of our past as we are excited about our future. Dating to 1894, Tacoma Country & Golf Club has been occupying this beautiful property on the shores of American Lake for well over a century. TCGC is the oldest established Golf Club West of the Mississippi. Golf is central to the member experience at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. We feature an 18-hole championship golf course that stretches beyond 6,900-yards from the back tees. Accomplished players will love the test they find on our links, while players of all skill levels will find a playable course that is enjoyable round after round. Tacoma Country & Golf Club offers a competition sized swimming pool set on the shores of American Lake complete with locker rooms, a Beach House with kitchen and bar, and beach and lake access with a dock and slide. The pool, beach house, and lake operate for members and their guests from Memorial Day to Labor Day and through September, weather, and lifeguard availability, permitting. The Head Lifeguard provides lead supervision for Lifeguards, monitors activities at pool, and functions as a Lifeguard. Participates in the selection and assigning of Lifeguard duties. Give instructions in pool operating procedures, rules, safety practices, maintenance, and related matters. Conducts safety checks of facility and coordinates maintenance and repairs, including water chemistry. Organize, leads, and assists with events at the pool in partnership with the Clubhouse Manager. Acts as Person-in-Charge when Aquatics Manager is not present. This position is an ambassador for The Club and Aquatics Department and will present themselves in such manner as well as holding staff to the same standard.
