About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Lifecycle Marketing Director to own our email and SMS strategy, execution, and optimization across the customer journey. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketer who loves rolling up their sleeves, diving into data, and crafting campaigns that drive measurable impact — while also leading a small, growing team and strengthening leadership capabilities in a fast-paced growth environment. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational excellence: someone who can architect automated lifecycle programs in HubSpot, analyze performance in Looker, and collaborate across teams to deliver personalized, high-performing communications.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally within a B2C or D2C brand.
  • Deep hands-on experience with HubSpot (automation, workflows, segmentation, reporting).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Looker or similar BI tools.
  • Proven ability to plan and flawlessly execute campaigns end-to-end — from strategy and segmentation to creative brief and QA.
  • Strong understanding of email and SMS best practices, deliverability, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, TCPA).
  • Experience managing and mentoring a small team.
  • Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating HubSpot with optimization or monitoring tools, light HTML/CSS editing, or prior startup experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and flawlessly execute customer lifecycle strategies across email and SMS to drive engagement and enrollments.
  • Own optimization and testing priorities, segmentation, and personalization strategy across lifecycle stages.
  • Build, test, and optimize automation workflows (conversion, winback, cross-sell, etc.) in HubSpot, and help inform future ESP platform decisions that support growth and efficiency.
  • Partner with Analytics to optimize Looker dashboards and track performance against key lifecycle KPIs.
  • Run A/B tests, analyze performance data, and synthesize insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage audience health and data hygiene across CRM and marketing automation systems to ensure strong deliverability and performance visibility.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of lifecycle marketing specialists, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, and Creative to ensure messaging alignment and cross-channel consistency.
  • Identify opportunities to scale lifecycle impact through process improvements, tooling, and automation.
