Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education/additional experience
  • 2 years’ experience providing support in a legal/compliance setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, process, and submit new license applications, license renewals, and license changes/updates. Work through DBA registration filings/renewals as needed.
  • Resolve licensing issues, troubleshoot problems, and report any status issues to management and other appropriate parties. See applications through to completion.
  • Track and provide information on relevant deadlines, upcoming renewals/expirations, and any applicable compliance requirements.
  • File required reports/documentation with the Secretary of State or other required entities.
  • Process DBA registrations as needed.
  • Monitor, manage, and respond to inquiries received from the field via the shared email box regarding business licensing.
  • Monitor and maintain licensing calendar.
  • Research local jurisdiction legal requirements to maintain licensing compliance.
  • Assist with assigned corporate matters and/or litigation as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and maintenance of business license management software.
  • Conduct due diligence of license portfolios of target companies.
  • Integrate license portfolio of acquired companies.
  • Coordinate with other departments within organization to gather information and ensure compliance with other functions (i.e. tax, payroll, and credit).
