About The Position

The Department of Natural Resources, Licensing & Registration Service, is currently accepting applications for a Licensing &Registration Technician I. This is an entry level customer service position located in Bel Air, MD. Licensing and Registration Technicians provide customer assistance in person, by phone, mail, and email relating to the processing of recreational hunting and fishing licenses, commercial fishing licenses, vessel registration including titling and excise tax collection, and other available products.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Three years of bookkeeping or non-professional accounting or customer service related work. Customer service related work may include experience in public contact areas, such as wholesale or retail sales.
Candidates may substitute experience involving titling and registering boats and issuing hunting and fishing licenses and permits on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Compliance Inspection and Support classifications or Compliance Inspection and Support specialty codes in the Inspection, Investigation, Enforcement, and Compliance field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
