About The Position

General Summary: This role supports Dollar General’s compliance requirements by managing employee licensing needs for alcohol, tobacco, and other regulated products. This role works closely with field teams, SSC partners, and local licensing agencies to complete new license applications, renewals, change-of-manager filings, and training requirements. This position maintains the highest level of confidentiality and safeguards all PII and related data collected. The coordinator ensures all documentation is accurate and aligned with regulatory and company standards while providing responsive support to internal partners throughout the licensing process

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective conflict-resolution abilities and comfort navigating difficult conversations.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple/competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with HR systems preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, communications, or related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in HR Operations, Licensing, Project Management or related field.

Responsibilities

  • As primary licensing liaison for Store Operations leadership to Licensing, request and process individual employee licensing requirements and timelines, including PII, new applications, renewals, background checks, fingerprints, disclosures, documents, required training and certificates, etc.
  • Manage identification of key employees to complete manager (Agent) and change-of-manager (COM) filings with state and local agencies.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and internal partners to maintain compliance and resolve licensing employee-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of licensing requirements, request statuses, completion metrics, and compliance documentation.
  • Create, administer, and utilize systems, databases, and workflow tools to track and report licensing requirements and activity and ensure timely follow-through to support effective licensing management.
  • Support audits, inspections, other initiatives, and any other duties, functions, or responsibilities as needed.
