Join the Smart Home team to create smarter, safer and more sustainable homes.The Hybrid Licensing Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring company compliance with all alarm, electrical, and related licensing requirements. This position is responsible for obtaining and managing permits and licenses for customers in required areas, as well as overseeing inspections and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a proactive approach to researching and understanding state, city, and county ordinances and involves frequent interaction with government officials, customers, and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a hybrid (remote and on-site) work environment.
  • Customer service experience and ability to interact professionally with government officials and internal teams.

  • Proficiency with online application systems and maintaining digital records is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain all required alarm and electrical permits for customers, ensuring compliance with state, city, and county regulations.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of necessary inspections.
  • Research licensing and permit requirements across jurisdictions to ensure full company compliance with all ordinances.
  • Complete, submit, and manage applications for permits and changes to company license types, using various methods such as hand-written forms, online submissions, and list submissions.
  • Perform regular audits and analyses of compliance practices and maintain accurate, organized records of all permits, licenses, and related documentation.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and inquiries from state and local government officials, customers, and colleagues from other departments.
  • Attend regular one-on-one coaching and feedback sessions with supervisors and team members to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all company licenses always remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
