We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician who will be responsible for patient care and client support for the Sports Medicine & Physical Rehabilitation Service (SMPR). The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting veterinarians with the preparation and management of service flow Client interaction, which includes handling, monitoring, and discharging patients. Provide instruction to veterinary students, interns and occasionally residents, in technical skills and procedures. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, students, and clinicians Coordinate patient flow, assuring cases receive efficient, quality care throughout their entire visit. Assist with scheduling, set-up and completion of all nursing care and procedures needed by patients using auxiliary services throughout CUHA. Employees working in the laboratory must receive the pre-exposure rabies prophylaxis vaccination series prior to or immediately after hire, which will be paid for by the department.
