Requirements

  • A licensed LVT (required!)
  • Skilled and confident in anesthetic monitoring
  • Comfortable processing basic lab samples
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and normal vs. not-so-normal ranges
  • A natural mentor who enjoys supporting veterinary assistants
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Someone who builds strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and community
  • Positive, friendly, and organized (your clipboard game is unmatched)
  • Excellent at communicating with both humans and animals
  • Honest, eager to learn, and ready to have fun while making a difference

Responsibilities

  • Guiding patients smoothly through anesthesia and sedated procedures
  • Setting up CRIs and showing off those medical‑math muscles
  • Placing IV catheters like the pro you are
  • Delivering compassionate, gold‑standard care to hospitalized pets
  • Handling blood and plasma transfusions (vampire jokes welcome)
  • Keeping spotless treatment sheets and detailed anesthesia records
  • Collecting and preparing blood samples for diagnostics
  • Educating clients so they feel confident caring for their pets at home
