The Behavioral Health Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Psychotherapist. This role involves conducting biopsychosocial assessments, identifying client strengths and needs, and employing therapeutic interventions such as Trauma Informed, CBT, and/or Psychodynamic approaches. Treatment modalities include individual, couple, family, and group therapy on a crisis, short-term, or long-term basis, delivered both in person and via telehealth. The psychotherapist will collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, department, agency, and community resources, consistently meeting service level expectations and ensuring high-quality care. Responsibilities also include documenting client treatment and services using an Electronic Health Record system and maintaining the privacy of protected health information. No evenings or weekends are required for this position.

Requirements

  • Masters in Social Work or Counseling Psychology
  • LCSW or LMHC license
  • Previous clinical experience in OMH clinic, hospital private practice or other similar setting
  • Eligible to be credentialed to conduct services billed to Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurances

  • Preferred CBT, DBT, EMDR, and/or Psychodynamic skills

Responsibilities

  • Collect biological, psychological, and social data and information about the client’s present situation and past history of functioning.
  • Evaluate and develop a biopsychosocial assessment based on collected data, including identification of client strengths and weaknesses.
  • Contract with the client, significant other, or family member regarding issues to be addressed to assist, maintain, and/or improve the client’s situation.
  • Employ appropriate therapeutic interventions (e.g., Trauma Informed, CBT, Psychodynamic) to achieve mutually agreed upon goals through various modalities such as individual, couple, family, and group treatment on a crisis, short-term, or long-term basis.
  • Provide services in person and through telehealth.
  • Identify environmental resources, advocate for, and assist clients in securing necessary benefits and entitlements.
  • Provide case management activities, including coordination of services, activities, or programming to accomplish designated goals and objectives of the client’s treatment plan.
  • Collaborate on behalf of the client with other disciplines within the treatment team, department, and agency, as well as with representatives of community agencies and resources.
  • Perform outreach and case finding to community resources, agencies, and groups.
  • Consistently meet service level expectations and ensure the highest quality level of care.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining statistical records, writing reports, and documenting client treatment and services via Electronic Health Record system on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintaining the privacy of patient, client, or protected member health information.
