About The Position

Licensed Psychiatrist- Full Time Location: Petaluma, CA, 94952 What you will be doing: Providing ongoing psychiatric care to adolescent residents with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems. Performing routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment recommendations. Coordinating care before and during admission and post-discharge. Communicating with parents/guardians and educating clients on a weekly basis. Attending weekly treatment team meetings. Serving as a liaison with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members. Assessing and screening patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing. Developing a treatment plan, measuring progress against the plan, and making adjustments as needed. Coordinating and communicating with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care. Completing all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborating with a broader team of physicians, therapists, nurses, etc. to assess and adjust treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
  • License to practice medicine in the state of CA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Adolescent (aged 12yrs -17yrs) is preferred.
