About The Position
A healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The LPN will provide direct patient care, support nursing operations, and ensure high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN License
- Graduate of an approved LPN program
- BLS/CPR & AED Certification (required)
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and supervisory skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor, document, and report patient conditions and changes
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Support infection control, safety, and quality standards
- Supervise and assist nursing support staff as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
