About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting. The LPN will support residents’ medical and daily care needs while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in the state of Iowa
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care or Nursing Home setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of geriatric care and chronic condition management
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Strong attention to detail and patient care quality

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, and monitoring vital signs
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the RN or physician
• Provide wound care, IV therapy (if applicable), and other nursing procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment
