Requirements

  • To be considered for this role, candidates must hold or be able to obtain a Personal Lines or Property & Casualty insurance producer’s license prior to hire.
  • Manage an average of 30 plus Inbound calls per day, with the focus being on quality customer interactions and sales execution.
  • Provide insurance recommendations, quotes and issue policies
  • Utilize active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and clearly understand a specific request or customer need to provide the appropriate solutions.
  • Achieve standards established for success in the program by completing daily assignments, including reading of text materials, completion of on-line courses, role plays, exams, and general activities.
  • Adhere to The Hartford's employment policies and procedures, including attendance and professionalism in the workplace.
  • Be provided with 11 weeks of paid training, including preparation and sponsorship for your Property and Casualty Personal Lines insurance exam
  • This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, ) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
  • Start Date: 6/1/2026
  • Duration: 14 weeks (apx. End date of 9/4 performance-dependent). Please note that time off during training is not accommodated.
  • Training Hours: Mon-Fri 9:30-6 pm EST.
  • Post-Training Hours: Mon-Fri 11:30-8 pm local time, every other Sunday 9:30-6 pm Eastern. For the weeks you work on Sunday, you will receive Thursday off.
  • To ensure consistency and meet business requirements, schedules are fixed for at least the first year of employment. After this period, opportunities for schedule adjustments may be considered based on business needs and operational priorities.
  • 2 + years of recent sales experience and comfort with negotiating and overcoming objections
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling an average of 30-40 inbound calls per day
  • Capability to maintain all state licenses and terminate prior carrier relationships as applicable.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • This is a customer-facing role requiring your full attention. A distraction-free environment is essential.
  • High speed broadband cable internet service with minimum upload/download speeds of 300MB download/30MB upload. Your Internet provider-supplied device must be hard-wired to the Hartford-issued router and/or computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience in Insurance, Retail, Banking, highly preferred; Inbound sales experience a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English skillset is a plus
