Works under the supervision of the Library Computer Support Supervisor (Public Technology Coordinator). Must be available during peak use hours, which include weekdays, evenings and weekends. Coordinates, organizes, and monitors use of public computers. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting patrons with basic use of library's public computers and ensuring computer users comply with policies and guidelines relating to use of the computers and the internet. Responsible for planning, scheduling and instruction of computer and technology appointments, as needed. Uses knowledge of computers, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Webmail and the World Wide Web to carry out job duties. Responsible for mastering the use of library technology and assisting other employees, and patrons in its proper use. (Audio visual systems, 3D printer systems, Cricut machines, etc.) Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public. Attendance at work is an essential function of this position. Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of this position.
