The Librarian II: Scholarly Communication Librarian at Cornette Library advances the University's research and teaching mission by strengthening the ways campus stakeholders discover scholarly resources and by expanding the visibility and accessibility of the university's own scholarship. This position transforms access to education by leading the library's open educational resources movement-curating affordable alternatives, empowering faculty adoption, and driving campus-wide change through the OER LibGuide, Pressbooks platform, and OER Working Group. The Scholarly Communication Librarian helps campus stakeholders navigate the world of transformative agreements, champions faculty publications, and helps bring research to life through the Faculty and Student Research Poster Session and Research Week. This position shares innovative ways that library resources are evolving, by leading the efforts to communicate changes to library databases and getting feedback from campus stakeholders about those databases. Access to OER training is part of this role, and mentorship is provided to help facilitate positive faculty interactions. This position reports to the Librarian III: Systems and Emerging Technologies Librarian, and as a member of the Research, Outreach, & Instruction team assists with outreach events and staffing the Research Desk.
